Personalized Physical Therapy with Shoulder Pain
Shoulder issues (rotator cuff tendonitis/tear, bursitis, impingement, frozen shoulder, labral issues etc.) are one of the main reasons patients seek help from a physical therapist. The shoulder is an extremely mobile joint. It relies on muscle attachments to give stability. At Foundation Manual Physical Therapy & Performance, we don’t want to treat symptoms. We want to get to the source. This is why a detailed evaluation and individual appointment times are essential.
Quite frequently, the muscles surrounding the shoulder joint show an imbalance, with certain ones tending to get tight and others getting weak. This can be from what we do for work such as, being on a computer all day. Shoulder pain can be from sports and activities we perform. At times, injuries to the shoulder will cause the joint to get tight and can limit our mobility.
